We come to you with the exciting news that Starter has gone Cross-Chain, with our launch on Polygon Blockchain (formerly Matic Network).

Launched as a response to some of Ethereum’s biggest drawbacks, Polygon’s rise has been meteoric. The multichain system combines the best of Ethereum’s network effects with aspects of sovereign blockchains in an attractive feature set. Made by developers, for developers.

Traders have obviously seen huge benefits as its popularity has continued to sky-rocket.

But let’s look at some of the finer points behind this exciting news…

A new direction for Starter?

A new direction, but a natural one.

Starter never stands still. We restlessly innovate and evolve. For a long time it has been our ambition to bring vetted and community-oriented IDO launches to multiple blockchains. Polygon is just the beginning, eventually, Starter will live on seven blockchains and offer IDOs across all of them.

Why Polygon?

While Ethereum has been thought of as the primary blockchain development platform, it unfortunately still has major limitations. Polygon is a protocol and framework for building and connecting Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks, effectively transforming Ethereum into a multi-chain system (this is why it’s known as Ethereum’s Internet of Blockchains).

Polygon is an answer to many of the main issues with single-chain systems and has tackled them with features that align closely with the Starter vision and where we are headed.

Having said this, Polygon’s rise in popularity has not come without its issues. As with other blockchains, the growing problem of scammers and rug pulls has plagued Polygon, and we believe that Starter can be the positive force that helps weed them out in favour of the genuinely promising projects.
