Let’s get started with an introduction of yourselves and your experiences as well as a brief intro of the team.

Sure! I’m Colin I’m one of the founders and the CEO of Animal Concerts. I’m Irish from Dublin but I live in Dubai — but right now I’m actually in brazil!. I’ve been 20 years in Tech, working for companies like Oracle, Dell, Saleforce and HubSpot. Mostly Bizdev, Sales and marketing etc. Been in Crypto since early 2017 as a fanatic and super excited to now be launching our project after almost a year of insanely hard work!

I’m a serial entrepreneur if you’d like to call it that, having exited a business in Canada back in 2018, pitching a product on a popular tv show in Canada called Dragons Den, raised funds for an app in the UK, and have been advising and mentoring startups across the globe for the past 10 years. One noteworthy item: I mentored startups who applied for a FinTech challenge with UBS Bank in Zurich back in 2019, where they were looking to understand how to embed tokenization into their banking architecture….i.e…NFT’s! Love the crypto space intensely as an investor over the past 4 years, and after leading our corporate venture capital fund in Deloitte UK (one of the largest consultancies in the world), I decided it’s time to step into the Crypto world both feet in…with Animal Concerts!

Ok let’s get into the details! Can you please summarize Animal Concerts and explain your mission?

Animal Concerts is building the Next Generation of Live Events in the Metaverse. We are revolutionizing the music industry for fans and artists worldwide: delivering unique, physical concerts with A-list artists, collaborating on NFT drops, live streaming in the Metaverse, and tokenizing that entire experience!

We have an amazing team with close ties to the music industry — one of our founders has a company who’ve been booking major artists and putting on events like the Emmys, Grammys, NY NYE Times Square parties and even superbowl afterparties. This is how we are able to book artists like FUTURE, Busta Rhymes and most recently Alicia Keyes — we did her new album launch event and are working on an NFT drop very soon!

Superrr impressive! And so exciting. Everyone knows these amazing artists and that’s actually where I was going with my next question. You guys have already accomplished so much already and hosted huge events. Can you expand on all you’ve accomplished and how the events went.

We have lots of other different type stuff lining up soon — focusing on metaverse concerts and NFT’s. As you may know people like Travis Scott, Lil Nas and Ariana Grande have done some huge concerts online — Arianna Grande made $50m selling the digital assets alone! So a massive market here and still young..

Well let’s start with our FIRST concert, with the Grammy award winning rapper FUTURE! We shut it down at the Fountainebleau in Miami during Halloween of last year. It was a true night to remember, and I can’t wait to celebrate with you all at our next physical concert.

Thats what it really about. In one way we are creating new revenue streams, but it really about fan and artist interaction in new and amazing ways, and exposure to new fans too

What benefits do users have for experiencing these artists in the metaverse vs in person?

We are not trying to replace actual concerts, this is just a different experience. Mainly we open it up to a global audience not just people near once city who are lucky to get a ticket. Now anyone globally can experience it from the comfort of their own home. One day we will also do VR concert so with an Occulus Quest etc you can feel like you are dancing on stage with your favourite band — that’s something really amazing imo

We recorded the FUTURE gig in 360 and I’ve seen it, looks amazing

Great answer! Makes a ton of sense and again tightening that fan-artist relationship by not limiting who can attend their shows.

Great question: well i’m sure most of us are now very familiar with the play-to-earn NFT space, which at the moment is attracting a lot of gamers! A new space that we are going to be showcasing to the world is ‘watch-to-earn’ -> where users can earn rewards for active participation in our Metaverse events. That’s why we partnered with Netvrk! Check out what Colin had to say in an article they published just the other day:

I’d say for now, jumping a bit ahead, but trust that we’ll be announcing everything in its entirety around how this will all come to life post IEO

You have an app coming out this quarter right? Can you tell us what users will be able to do in the app.

Our App will feature the following:

-Fiat On-Ramp

-Wallet UI (display web3 wallet balances) + NFTs

-Cross-chain bridge for ANML token

-Staking pools + Rewards Program

-NFT Marketplace

-Governance Protocol

-Events (past, upcoming, cross-promoted)

-Access point to our own Metaverse

Thanks Sam. We want to involve the community as much as possible in what is happening and interaction with us and the artists we work with. There will be a fan art nft marketplace and competitions to make wearables — plus loads of competitions.

This is a big aspect for me. The musicians we work with are contracted in to promote us on their socials which often have tens of millions of followers. We want to bring the next 10+m people into Crypto! Exposing them to our token and nfts for the first time. That’s very valuable to people…

Starting the week off right, we have signed a strategic partnership agreement with Klaytn, including a grant to support the Animal Concerts journey this year and beyond 🚀 🤝
